a collage of demos and unreleased songs.
recorded between 2013 and 2017 in small rooms with just one microphone. therefore, the sound is lo-fi and raw, but i decided to release these imperfect recordings nevertheless for two reasons.

people who know these tunes from my live shows wanted to listen to them at home.
personally, i longed to release these sketches to create space for something new. in this spirit: let the deadwood burn off!

the song "i would rather be ashes than dust" is inspired by jack london.
the song "baudelaire's dream" is inspired by charles baudelaire's book "the flowers of evil".
the song "tidal mirror" is based on a poem by my friend dan mark, published in his book „mourning 'till morning“. the spoken word at the end is recited by dan himself.
the song "hell is other people" is inspired by jean-paul sartre's play "no exit".
